The Company
Be Discovered Inc. is a progressive and innovative company
that offers unique entertainment industry services for both industry decision makers and
dancers worldwide.
Co-producing
Carnival Choreographer's Ball exclusively in Canada is the companies newest
venture. After 12 years in L.A., Be Discovered knew the time was long
overdue to bring this to Hollywood North.
Be Discovered was founded in 2001 by industry veteran Diana Uribe to provide a direct avenue for new faces and talent into the entertainment world
that at the time was unavailable. To date, no other company offers what we do.
Be Discovered is setting standards by sharing more than just entertainment industry services with today’s youth, their support systems and educators. We believe that it is also our responsibility to pass along the importance of values and morals in an industry where these seem to be a thing of the past.
We are all about being
globally conscious and environmentally friendly
and try to be as “green”
as possible in all that we do.
Be Discovered also believes in giving back to the community.
In Toronto, shelters and the homeless receive warm sleeping bags in the winter, personally distributed by us. In Edmonton,
a portion of our dance workshops proceeds was donated to the
Make A Wish Foundation
along with gifts to Santa’s Kidz. Be Discovered has also been an advocate and donated time and/or money to
Artists Against Racism,
St. Christopher’s House, The Red Cross and The Salvation Army. In the U.S., Be Discovered donated its workshops for the
Boys and Girls Club of America’s conference for hundreds of under privileged kids. In Colombia, needy kids receive school supplies and shoes in a knapsack for the start of their school year and gifts for Christmas.
The Director
Diana (pronounced Deana) Uribe
is the founder, President and Casting/Talent Director of Be Discovered Inc.
Diana’s performing arts inspiration growing up were the T.V. series Fame and Debbie Allen.
While still in high school, Diana worked at
The Factory Theatre
where she had the opportunity to work with some of Canada’s greats including actor Gordon Pinsent.
At just eighteen, Diana was booking talent on TV shows including
Street Legal
and
Kids in the Hall
and on movies starring Liza Minnelli, Keanu Reeves, Michael J Fox
and Ice-T. It is at this time that Diana found that her role in the industry was not to be in front of the camera. Her talent was finding and booking talent.
Diana has booked thousands of performers, cast hundreds
more in feature films, commercials and music videos and
stage managed Destiny’s Child, Kardinal Official
and Jully Black. She has taught workshops at The Learning Annex,
at the NBA’s Toronto Raptors Dance Pak workshops and at the On The Move
conference for emerging artists. She was a consultant for the National Film Board’s Breakin In: The Making of a Hip Hop Dancer,
an adjudicator and talent scout
at competitions across North America; has sat on the board of directors at Dance Ontario
and is the mastermind behind all of Be Discovered’s services.

Diana’s Resume.
Quite amazing for a woman born in a small barrio in Colombia who didn’t speak a word of English when she moved to Toronto. Overcoming the many challenges of migrating to a new country, she is now a pioneer in her field
and a
great role model
for people from all walks of life. Although Diana has been an industry professional for more than half her life, she feels that there is still so much left for her to learn and do and she is just getting started. She is living out her dreams by helping others achieve theirs.
Diana loves the perks that come along with being a part of the industry such as hanging out at exclusive Hollywood and Malibu hotspots including
Chateau Marmont.
This is where she’s had the pleasure of meeting John Travolta, Josh Hartnett, Mos Def, Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez
and Olivier Martinez, to name a few.
